The Iowa Falls Rotary Club was founded on November 18, 1921 with an original membership of 19 business people and was established as the first and only service club in the city. The Iowa Falls Rotary Club was sponsored by the Rotary Club of Dubuque, and was represented by Paul Rankin at the organizational meeting.

The Iowa Falls Rotary Club is involved in numerous community service projects and hosts an international exchange student every other year. On the international scene the club contributed to the Tsunami disaster relief, Katrina disaster relief, was involved with a project to deliver medical equipment to a Bulgarian hospital, and participated in the Nicaragua Shoebox project. The club also participates in various scholarship awards including those for students at Ellsworth Community College.

The Iowa Falls Rotary Club’s major fundraiser is our annual open pit chicken barbecue meal held each spring. Fund from the event are distributed to various charities, schools and community programs.
