  Attendees were up dated on the Rotary Foundation, membership and public relation efforts. The Foundation World-wide preliminary donation figures for 2008-09 are $97.3 million donated to the annual fund down 14.9% from the previous year. Also there was an approximate 1.25% membership loss of members in the 11 districts that make-up Zone 27. Economic conditions are a big factor in both of these areas and everyone hopes this will be a temporary situation. In addition there was discussion about the need for all Rotary clubs to designate a club reporter/public relation chairman for the year. All attended will use the information gathered to help plan the Foundation/Membership/Public Relations seminars that are planned for Sept 19th in Humboldt and Sept 26th in Manchester in our District. Watch for additional information about these seminars in the newsletter and  other direct communication to club presidents.
