Register on line to attend
Presidents’ elect training Friday, March 4th and Saturday March 5th, 2011
Registration for the NC PETS is now available on line at http://www.ncpets.org.
The North Central President’s Elect Training Seminar, NC PETS, now in its second year, will bring together future leaders of about 250 clubs in Minnesota and Iowa.
An outstanding group of speakers will headline the program, including RI Vice President Thomas Thorfinnson from Eden Prairie, MN and Jennifer Jones from Windsor, Ontario who will explain Rotary’s public image campaign and how your club can take advantage.
A third speaker, Rotary Peace Scholar Marios Antoniou, wowed audiences last summer at the international convention in Montreal. He is a native of Cyprus studying in North Carolina. In addition to general sessions, the committee has allocated time for incoming club officers to meet with District Governor Elect Jim Patton to discuss district and club goals and programs.
This year’s gathering will be in Dubuque at the Grand River Center and Hotel. A reduced room rate of $99 per night is available to those who register before February 4.
We are asking registrants to indicate if they will attend the Thursday evening social and we are asking folks to indicate which two breakouts they will likely attend (so we can plan the room sizes better)
Hotel rooms must be booked by February 3 at 5 pm to receive the group discount; this is only eight days away.
Rotary bylaws require incoming presidents to attend a formal training session before they can serve their club.
Consider bringing family members with you to Dubuque. There is an indoor water park connected to the hotel and the National Mississippi River Museum and Aquarium is an easy five minute walk from the hotel. Newly expanded, it is the premier attraction in the state.
