Global Grants Scholarship Candidate Memo for 2022­-2023 Academic Year

This memo contains information concerning the Global Grants Scholarships, a scholarship program  District 5970 offers under the Rotary International Global Grants Program. Through Global Grants Scholarships, Rotarians fund graduate ­level coursework or research, at a minimum of $30,000 for one to four academic years. The Global Grants Scholarship is now being offered for the 2022­-2023 academic year.  Applicants must undertake international graduate study in a field that prepares them for service in one of the six Rotary Areas of Focus: More information is available here:

Below are some key dates for selection of the District 5970 Global Grants Scholar for the 2022­-2023 academic year:
 
August ­ September, 2021 ­ Clubs & District advertise the grant opportunity.

October 15, 2021 Grant applications from candidates are due. Grant committee begins to review applications to select qualified applicants.

November 15, 2021 Qualified applicants additional paperwork due ­­­ transcripts references etc. Mid­ November to Early December, 2021 ­ Applicants will be interviewed.
 
December 31, 2021 ­ Interviewed applicants and Sponsor Clubs will be notified of decision on or before this date. District Scholarship Committee will proceed with the two ­step grants application process of The Rotary Foundation.
