District 5970 has $5,372 waiting to be awarded in District Grant funding for this year in 2020-21.  For the first time in many years, the total amount received in grant requests for grant projects was less than the amount we had available to award.

Consequently, the District Grants Committee is opening a second round of grant applications.  Here are the guidelines:
  1. Clubs interested in submitting a grant application must contact Don Meyer, District Foundation Chair, to receive grant training if they did not receive it in the first round.   foundationchair@district5970.org
  2. Clubs may apply now for a grant, and the applications must be received no later than November 1, 2020.
  3. This round of grant applications is open to any club that did NOT receive a grant in the first round earlier this year.
  4. The minimum grant request is $1,500.  Clubs must fund at least 50% of the project, so the minimum project cost is $3,000. Therefore, the match from District 5970 will be a minimum of $1,500 with a maximum of $5,000.
  5. Projects must be completed and final report submitted by June 30, 2021 or within 30 days of completion of the project.
  6. Please refer to the 2020-21 District Grant Handbook, or the District Grant Quick Reference Guide, for further guidelines.  Both can be found at the district website at district5970.org/sitepage/district-foundation/grants.  There you will also find the grant application and supporting documents as needed.
