An Update from Our Peace Fellow
REGINA MUTIRU PETER, 30, of Nairobi, Kenya has become the first District 5970 Rotary Peace Fellow. Regina was awarded a fellowship to the University of Bradford (England where she will study African Peace and Conflict Studies. Here is a recent update from her Rotary adventure:Greetings to you all, hope this finds you well. I am excited to inform you that I arrived in Bradford on 10th September and I already enrolled ready for studies next week so I have settled in well. The weather here is cold for me comparing it with my countries weather but I will manage. Today we had a luncheon at one of the local Rotarian home and they opened their garage for us the peace fellows to pick items we may use in our apartments (very kind of them). Here is a photo of us together at the luncheon (8 of us and Ken our local Rotary coordinator) Will send a photo of all of us together when we take one.
