District Grants have been awarded to the following Rotary Clubs in District 5970:
Metro North Cedar Rapids - $5,000 - Metro North Cedar Rapids is partnering with the Junion League of Cedar Rapids and Foundation 2 Crisis Services to provide kitchen equipment at Foundation 2's downtown Cedar Rapids location.
Cedar Rapids Sunrise - $2,500 - Cedar Rapids Sunrise Rotary will remove invasive and non-native species of plants from the Indian Creek Nature Center and will plant healthy shrubs, including redbud, plum, hazelnut, and prairie crabapple.
Dubuque - $5,000 - Dubuque Rotary will provide marketing for the annual "Scouting for Food" to ensure a broader community involvement and a larger donation impact across the region.
Manchester - $5,000 - Manchester Rotary will install a Rotary Street Clock in downtown Manchester.
Mason City Sunrise - $5,000 - Mason City Sunrise Rotary will provide ADA accessible outdoor seating and gathering spaces at Kinney Pioneer Museum.
Rockwell City - $4,700 - Rockwell City Rotary will replace the damaged roof on the shelter at the City Park.
Spencer - $5,000 - Spencer Rotary will develop a landscaped area at Clay County Extension's new location.
Decorah - $5,000 - Decorah Rotary is partnering with Decorah Human Powered Trails to upgrade park trails at Dunning's Springs.
Forest City - $5,000 - Forest City Rotary is commissioning a painted mural on the Cooper Building in downtown Forest City.
Iowa Great Lakes - $5,000 - Iowa Great Lakes Rotary is creating a resource awareness campaign for behavioral health resources and cancer awareness, targeted toward two risk groups in the County - youth and farmers.
Osage - $2,879 - Osage Rotary is helping with the installation of new playground equipment at Burnham Park.
Waverly - $5,000 - Waverly Rotary is assisting with capital improvements to the Northeast Iowa Community Action's Bremer County Food Pantry.
