August, 2026 Foundation First Newsletter
Michelle Bell, District Foundation Chair Foundation First Newsletter - August, 2026 August came and has almost gone! Vacations, work and Rotary have been my focus. I’m so proud of the great work you are all doing.Reading the final reports from District Grants have been enlightening. You all are doing fabulous things in your communities! I love hearing from Rotarians with questions or asking to serve! Please continue to reach out and either I or someone on our committee will respond. Sister Clubs We are launching a Sister Club program that will be shared at the Zone conference next month in September. The hope is to create relationships to increase International service. We are offering the first step towards that journey! The commitment would be minor to start. Please see the flyer we will be sharing at the Zones Conference Cancun: World Polio Day To raise awareness for Polio Eradication this year we are promoting a Polio Walk. This has spread around the world and will provide a great venue to spread awareness that we are not quite there on our commitment to the children of the world. Please consider joining us! Rotary International is launching a campaign called, “Countdown to History.” Goals were set and pledges were made, the and we can’t do it without you, as Rotarians. We are asking for Rotarians across District 5970 to give a minimum of $40 to End Polio Now. This will get our District to the goal set by Rotary International. |
